Snow Ball Battles in our back yard by Bute 1

Ever since December 1st, we have seen virtually no grass! Right now there is about 6 inches outside. That is a lot for us. Our driveway has a big square at the back about 30 feet by 30 feet. My fort is to the south, the garage full of gear to the west, Bute 2's fort to the north, and the allied forces of Bute 4, Bute 3 and Bute 5 combined to the east. Bute 2 introduced the idea of using sticks to make spikes on our forts but I took it farther then anyone. I made triple layers of spikes. I had forgotten how much exercise snow fights are. I come in really wiped out! The top photo is of my fort. This doesn't give you a sense of the 8 inch thick walls, the triple rows of spikes and the 300 snowballs stashed in secret holes. The second is of Bute 2's fort. slightly shorter but otherwise very much a resembelence to mine. In the second to pictures in the very front you can see a little bit of the spikes on my fort. In both I am in the middle of smacking one of my brothers with a snowball. Needless to say we have had a lot of fun out there. I can't wait for another snowfall and I can add on to my fort!!
