This year is the beginning of a new decade. We made an Ebenezer which is some cement of things that God was doing in our lives in the last year. This year we wrote about our house on Torrence selling, that we liked our wrestling coach, that Bute4 and Bute3 got to start piano lessons.
Editor's Note: For those who need a refresher, an ebenezer (from the Bible is 1 Samuel 7) is what Samuel names the monument of stones he erected to remind all of Israel of God's faithfulness. It literally means "thus far has the Lord helped us". Spiritually and theologically speaking, an Ebenezer can be nearly anything that reminds us of God’s presence and help. Several years ago we began a tradition of creating a cement garden stone every New Years to remind us of the ways God has helped us in the past year.
