Bute1 recently received his Arrow of Light award. For those of you unfamiliar with Scouting, the Arrow of Light is the highest award you can earn as a Cub Scout. It involves a wide breadth of knowledge and experiences. Everything from being able to pitch your own tent and start your own campfire, to being able to answer a fairly broad set of questions concerning government and citizenship. In addition to earning his Arrow of Light award, Bute1 earned 19 of the 20 badges it is possible to earn as a Webelos scout. We are fortunate that he has had a very dynamic leader through his Cub Scout years. He has also made a couple of pretty close friends who are crossing over to Boy Scouts with him next week. I look forward to what the future holds for him in scouting.
