How to pass the time

So, how do we keep the kids quietly occupied for all those hours in cars and trains. Of course we have the old stand-bys: cards, books ,stickers, crayons and "look out the window!". However when those inevitably run dry the Chief Electron Officer (Jeff) had a large bag of digital tricks. Somehow Jeff managed to keep two laptops, two Nintendo DSs, and an Ipod charged and supplied with earphones for use on the train. We downloaded audiobooks, we played electronic Monopoly, listened to music and watched "inflight" movies miles of cornfields and cattle grazing rolled by
