Cub Scout Spring Family Campout

This retreat center has come to be a very special place to us over the years. We have now attended 13 or 14 family campouts here and the boys have many fond memories. For the younger set, playing in the creek and getting as muddy as possible is always a highlight.

One of the things which initially attracted me to cub scouts is that there are many activities which included the whole family. This campout was great example of how many different ages could be incorporated. Bute5 was thrilled because now that he is will be a first grader he is now a Tiger Cub. This was his first campout as a "real" Cub Scout. Bute1 and Bute2 are now Boy Scouts and they had a responsibility to lead the Cub Scouts in earning some of their belt loops. Bute2 taught the science belt loop and Bute1 taught the soccer belt loop.
