The National Wildlife Federation has this campaign called the Green Hour, which is about making sure that kids get a chance for unstructured play outside each day. I have to say that one of the many blessings of this new house we have is the huge yard. Most of it is not particularly manicured, so there is plenty of time and place for the kids to just "mess around" outside. Here are Bute5 and Bute6 happily digging in the dirt under our magnolia tree.
