Well for those of you following the high drama of Bute1's post season baseball, the Cinderella story came to an end last night, in a heartbreaking 14-10 loss in the Little League Championship Game.
Once again we could all be proud that they displayed good sportsmanship, even during a couple of very close calls when testosterone was running high. They also showed a lot of mental resilience, over coming a deficit of 4 runs early on. At one point they were winning 10-4, with some very impressive defense (includling Bute1 snagging a line drive over his head at 3rd). Unfortunately as the bell tolled midnight (not really, but the game did go on until almost 9PM in the gathering dusk) the magic ran out and they just couldn't hang on during a sizzling rally by the opponents in the last inning.
I guess there's always next year!
