Things for which the Buterbaughs are grateful

With at quiet Thanksgiving in town I have had ample time to reflect on the many blessings God has showered on us. We can enjoy a long holiday weekend home together. Our children can enjoy playing with one another. We have a warm house with toys and crafts and games and plenty to eat. There is music and there is laughter and there is love.

Jeff has a job he truly enjoys. I have the opportunity to invest the best of my time and energy in homeschooling our children. We tuck our children in at night safe from fear of missile attacks or bombs. We read our Bibles with no fear of secret police

So much in our house is testimony to the wonderful friends and family we have -- furniture given to us by relatives no longer living, shelves and hooks hung by my dad when he comes over to tackle household projects, dishes and table linens given as gifts, food brought to share by church friends.

There is surely nothings to tempt me to leave my house for Black Friday sales
