Jeff had many places in Austin he was eager to share with us. The first night we had fantastic guacamole at the Iron Cactus with a view of 5th Street.
The next day dawned a perfect, clear sunny day without a cloud in the sky (Texas only gets 300 of those in a year). We started out by boating on Town Lake, and then several of Jeff's coworkers and former co workers picked us up and took us to Rudy's for lunch. We had planned to follow this with a swim at Barton Springs, but it was not to be. I am not sure what the sign meant about flooding because there were drought conditions and the water was quite low. Regardless we returned to the hotel and enjoyed their pool.
