We set out to explore a state park which Kal had found on the Internet called Slide Rock State Park, which boasts a natural water slide. Even in the middle of the day it was not exactly hot in Sedona, and, as we changed into our swim suits we could not help but notice everyone around us in jeans and fleeces. Nevertheless we scrambled across the red rocks to the slide. The water was a bone chilling 55 degrees. It took us a little while to get up our nerves, but finally Brent took the plunge. It was a thrilling ride once you got your breathe back and all the kids did it multiple times, with Jeff photographing and Brent and I lifeguarding. Jeff and are young enough we could not let the kids outdo us and we each did it once!

After trying off we hit an Indian jewelry stand and then back into Sedona for a fantastic lunch at Ken's Creekside Cafe. By the time we finished we tried to squeeze in a bike ride, but they did not have a bike small enough for Bute6 and we were racing the sunset, so we abandoned the plan and return to our house for wine, cracker and cheese.
