Grand Canyon

After a leisurely start to the day in Tucson we set our for the Grand Canyon. It was a mere 5 1/2 hours north by car and we had not realized that Arizona was on time so sunset comes very early here -- 5:40 to be precise. We arrived at the Grand Canyon in time to get a breathtaking view in the late afternoon sunlight. Of course the railings were never quite secure enough for my liking, so I held on tight to Ilona. Eventually we made our way to Hopi point














for a spectacular sunset.

We had three more hours of hair - raising drive in the dark to reach our house in Sedona. At least the house was beautiful and we were rewarded with a breaktaking moonrise off of our balcony.
