After several not so pleasant hours of negotiating through traffic on Route 5 past Seattle, we at last caught up with the onset of wedding festivities in form of a cookout at a park near the bride's hometown!
Our kids were delighted to see cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Bute5 in particular has a cousin very close to his age whom we don't see very often and he was thrilled to have a chance to play with him. The rocky beach along the sound was a perfect place for the kids to play. (The lovely bluff overlooking the sound with sheer drop offs, was not so good and we hurried our kids away from there).
