Yo ho ho and brownies with rum

One of the things I love about living in Columbus is that there are a lot of very affordable arts venues. Our absolute favorite is Schiller Park. It is in the lovely German Village part of town with brick streets and Victorian homes. Every summer there are free plays put on by Actors Summer Theater. To my amazement our boys have learned to really enjoy these productions. Usually we attend a Shakespearean production. We study the play in advance and each boys learns a few of the famous lines to listen for.
This summer however they did a production of Treasure Island- hard to imagine a play more tailor made for our group (we did find a sitter for Bute6). The boys really got into it. After we read the book they busily drew treasure maps and even used a candle to create the "black spot". Here they are in costume at the play (last weekend). Note that Bute5 is carrying a bottle of " rum"
